索卡艺术成立于1992年台湾，主要经营亚洲当代优秀艺术家作品，是台湾最早系统经营亚洲当代艺术的画廊。索卡现拥有北京、台北、台南三地空间，影响力涵盖亚洲及全球。2010年北京索卡搬迁至著名的798艺术区，并将展览空间进行翻新。改造后内部空间极为开阔，一千平米的包豪斯经典空间建筑，精心打造的每一档展览，致力为公众呈现更为精彩的艺术展览。
作为中国最早以美术史观及学术角度来经营的画廊，索卡艺术对中国经典油画做了大量的研究、整理及收藏工作。代理了从第一代艺术家李铁夫、林风眠、颜文樑、徐悲鸿等美术史已定位的经典艺术家，到新一代艺术家如洪凌、毛旭辉、周名德、曾建勇、张英楠、谭军、赵博等。
画廊长期致力于专业的艺术展览与研究，坚持学术与市场并重的观念。索卡艺术一直秉承初心，作为艺术家和世界之间的桥梁，将亚洲当代优秀艺术家的作品引进大陆及台湾，并将有潜力的中国当代艺术家推向国际。
Soka Art was founded in 1992 in Taiwan, is the first art institution in Taiwan that focuses on contemporary art across East Asia. Soka now has three locations: Beijing, Taipei and Tainan, and its influence is widely spread across the world. In the year 2010, Soka Beijing moved to the famous 798 Art District. The new Beijing space is characterised by its classic Bauhaus architecture with over 1000 square meters of space, hosting high-level academic exhibitions. Soka Art continuously launches brand new perspectives of contemporary art, dedicated to bringing excellent exhibitions to the public.
Soka was also the first gallery in China to operate from an art historical and academic perspective. Since its establishment, Soka has done a great deal of research, collation and collection of classic Chinese oil paintings. The founder Hsiao Fuyuan led Soka to integrate tremendous research, analysis and collection of works by the first generation mainland Chinese artists such as Li Tiefu, Lin Fengmian, Yan Wenliang, and Xu Beihong, as well as represented new generatinon artists such as Hong Ling, Mao Xuhui, Zhou Mingde, Zeng Jianyong, Zhang Yingnan, Tan Jun, and Zhao Bo etc.
Soka Art has long been dedicated to curating professional art exhibitions and high-quality research, putting equal emphasis on academics and the Art market. Soka Art remains true to our original aspiration of building the bridge between artists and the world, introducing the works of outstanding Asian contemporary artists to mainland China and Taiwan and promoting promising Chinese contemporary artists internationally.
