汇港美术馆创立于2012年，2013年3月22日在浙江省宁波市鄞州区民政局正式注册为非营利性公益美术馆。美术馆坐落在浙江省宁波市鄞州区南部商务区，由马清运设计的汇港大厦中，总展厅面积约为3400平方米。多年来，汇港美术馆以研究、实验、文本三者为展览核心，在扎根当地社区的同时，致力于培育和推广全球化的当代艺术生态，通过展览、收藏和公共活动，积极关注与呈现国内外优秀艺术家的创作实践。 与此同时，随着时代的变迁与艺术理念的不断演进，汇港美术馆开始转向关注中国新兴艺术力量，并以当代视觉艺术为主体，与实验表演、音乐、新媒体等跨界领域展开对话，构建前瞻性和系统性的学术体系。汇港美术馆坚定履行机构使命，通过不断创新的努力成为了本土艺术场域的重要一环。如今，汇港美术馆、杜岙美术馆与甲仓美术馆已形成独具特色的“一城三馆”的艺术生态，致力于通过艺术促进文化交流，为公众呈现多元、开放的艺术体验，从而让艺术改变生活。
HKE Art Museum was founded in 2012 and officially registered as a non-profit public art museum with the Civil Affairs Bureau of Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province on March 22, 2013.The museum is located in the Huigang Building designed by architect Ma Qingyun in the Southern Business District of Yinzhou District,Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province,with a total exhibition hall area of approximately 3,400 square meters.Over the years, HKE Art Museum has taken research, experiment, and text as the core of its exhibitions while deeply rooted in the local community, nurturing and promoting a globalized modern artistic ecosystem absorbedly.Through exhibitions, collections, and public events, the museum actively pays attention to the outstanding domestic and foreign artists and showcases their creative practices. At the same time, with the ever-changing times and the continuous evolution of artistic concepts, HKE Art Museum has shifted its focus to Chinese emerging artistic force. Taking modern visual art as its mainstay, the museum engages in dialogue with othercross-disciplinary fields such as experimental performance, music,and new media, constructing a forward-looking and systematic academic framework. Firmly fulfills its institutional mission,HKE Art Museum has become an important part of the local art field through relentless innovation.Nowadays,HKE Art Museum, together with Duao Art Museum, and Jiacang ArtMuseum, has formed a distinctive‘three museums in one city’artistic ecosystem, committed to promoting cultural exchange through art and presenting diverse and open art experiences to the public,thereby enabling art to transform lives.
