Press Release:

KeYi Gallery is pleased to announce that we will host the second solo exhibition of artist Li Zhongshi at the Gallery on October 24. It has been more than two years since the artist's first solo exhibition "Always Spring" in KeYi Gallery in 2021. The exhibition will focus on more than ten large paintings by Li Zhongshi. The exhibition will run until December 5.

The theme of this exhibition is "Reflector".  For the artist, the reflector is relationship bond between the individual and their surroundings. The world shown in the reflector is always upside down, it is reality but there is a gap with the true. We are used to using it to see around or behind the security risks, but only to map the danger, and there is the problem about the field of view, when we use it inevitably fall into the power of the visual threshold, the danger will be swallowed up at any time the reflector, and we can not effectively respond to this exceed real, even at the same time to see the left and right reflector are a paradox.

These works are Li Zhongshi's reflection and expression of the intertextuality between personal encounter and surroundings in recent years, through the image research and conceptual practice carried out in a personalized way, turn destruction and denial into creativity, collapses certainty, return in the semi-separation, and uninhibited at the compulsive, so as to find and present the sense of tug, conflict and ambiguity between various contradictory concepts.
