凯旋画廊荣幸地宣布将于2023年7月22日至9月16日期间，在画廊空间内呈现艺术家方力钧（b.1963，中国）、季大纯（b.1968，中国）、卢昊（b.1969，中国）的三人群展「SONATA FORM # 2023」。本次展览将呈现三位艺术家的20余件不同材质的作品。
「SONATA FORM」为凯旋画廊于2023年夏季推出的基于画廊798空间结构开展的策展单元。SONATA FORM即「奏鸣曲式」，是一种贯穿古典与现代的乐曲架构形式，以三段式乐章为其标准形式，循序递进。这一曲式既重合于展厅的结构，也契合凯旋画廊对于“画廊的展览”形式的期许。
SONATA FORM作为策展单元，将持续探讨在“非叙事性策展”之下，画廊空间作为固定的框架结构形式，如何以错落回环的包豪斯式空间结构，通过作品展陈排布制造的节奏与韵律，使展览重心回归到艺术家的作品创作本身。
TRIUMPH GALLERY is pleased to present a group exhibition, SONATA FORM # 2023, which includes three artists: Fang Lijun (b.1963, China), Ji Dachun (b.1968, China) and Lu Hao (b.1969, China), from the 22nd July untill the 16th September, 2023. This exhibition will present more than 20 works by the three artists at different periods.
Centered around the structure of the gallery hall in 798 Art Zone, SONATA FORM is a curatorial sector launched by TRIUMPH GALLERY in summer 2023. SONATA FORM, also referred to as the "sonata-allegro form," represents a compositional framework prevalent in both classical and contemporary music, characterized by its tripartite movement structure and progressive development. This particular musical form aligns harmoniously with the architectural layout of the gallery hall of TRIUMPH GALLERY. And the form is also resonates with the gallery's aspirations to redefine the notion of “a gallery exhibition."
As a curatorial sector, SONATA FORM aims to delve into the realm of "non-narrative curation," investigating how the static frame of the gallery space, akin to a Bauhausian spatial arrangement, can be employed to craft a dynamic interplay and rhythm through the presentation and placement of artworks. This approach, in turn, seeks to reestablish the focus of the exhibition on the artists and their works.
