When the traditional zodiac culture meets the modern trendy culture, the collision between the new and the old is inevitable. Sun Weili is an excellent helmsman. He is good at driving and has the courage to collide, which has achieved the biggest highlight of his twelve zodiac series. The vivid character headgear design appears in each of his works, colliding with avant-garde and bold trendy outfits, without any sense of disobedience, more like a long-awaited century partner, which makes the image of the twelve zodiac signs look new and bright. Such "powerful" creativity and expression collided with the word "powerless" in his name, I have to say it is also very ingenious!
Relying on its strong product development capabilities, AlleyArt, together with Sun Weili, developed limited fashion sculptures for each zodiac character. Sculpture is the art of space. We try to create a more vivid space in the middle of the two-dimensional screen. The first time I met "Sun Wuli" was in the summer of 2019. His listless appearance fits well with his pen name "Wuli". It was only later that I found out that the origin of this pseudonym was because I had to register for a Weibo ID, because I was powerless, that is, helpless with fate, and had a sense of powerlessness in looking at the situation. From then on, "Sun Wuli" became Sun Zui's new identity.
Some people have used "Guidelines for Boys' Daily Dressing" to describe the works of Wuli, which has also been confirmed by "Wuli" himself in the series of works, all of which are his own daily outfit styles , I think what I can feel more is the highlight of Sun Weili's efforts to restrain the boring and insist on continuous painting and creation in the process of painting, which is commendable!
As an AlleyArt trendy art organization, I have come into contact with thousands of painters (artists, illustrators, designers, etc.), but illustrators like Sun Wuli who graduated from non-illustration majors can insist on integrating painting into their lives It is extremely rare to do it as a lifetime thing. "The twelve zodiac signs" are the twelve animals (animal worship) that match the twelve land branches with the year of birth in China. It is the inheritance of traditional Chinese folk culture and a common carrier to express blessings for the Chinese New Year during the Spring Festival.
