作为一种隔绝介质,清晰地分隔在其之下的原有生态和其上即将展开的全新蓝图。17位艺术家以个人路径串联过去时态的未来想象与未来对过往的持续考古,以当下为节点立足时代现场,描摹“新”的界线;

Asphalt: a product of crude oil processing, a diverse and complex organic mixture formed by different raw materials and methods of production, difficult to clearly categorize and identify, commonly used in paving roads. Using this as a metaphor, the exhibition threads are interspersed with two stories:

As a kind of isolating medium, clearly separating the original ecology underneath and the new blueprint to be unfolded on top of it, the seventeen artists use their personal paths to link up the future imagination of the past tense with the continuous archaeology of the past in the future, using the present as the node to base themselves on the scene of the times and depicting the boundaries of "new";

Taking the binder as a metaphor, from the sampling of multi-cultural genes and identities, each artist's self-vision and each other's observation, such as the complexity of asphalt and the solidity of parallelism with a macroscopic commonality to re-examine the meaning of the fatalism, the logic of work and the scale of value.
