池社很荣幸地呈现艺术家张培力的最新个人展览/作品“最后期限”。
2024年6月15日为池社在上海西岸的最后时间，艺术家张培力以这一时间为材料呈现其最新作品——“最后期限”。作品将于6月12日启动拖拽模式，6月 15日下午四点启动碰撞模式，至六点结束后拆除，展览仅短暂地持续四天。
艺术家延续了其以往作品中优雅的暴力美学态度，将碰撞悬置在即将拆除的展厅内，等待其“最后期限”的来临。艺术家将此作品比作空间拆除前的一个“仪式”，在此即将发生的强烈碰撞似乎已经预示了这件作品和这栋建筑相同的命运——最终的消失。消失在现实之中，亦消失在记忆之中。
Pond Society is pleased to present Deadline, an exhibition/artwork of artist Zhang Peili.
June 15, 2024, marks the final day for Pond Society at West Bund, Shanghai. Artist Zhang Peili uses this date as material to present his latest work: Deadline. The work will enter drag mode on June 12 and switch to collision mode at 4 PM on June 15, concluding at 6 PM and then being dismantled. The exhibition will last only four days.
Continuing the elegant aesthetic of violence present in his previous works, the artist suspends the impending collision in the soon-to-be-demolished gallery, awaiting the arrival of its “deadline”. The artist likens this work to a “ritual” before the space's demolition, where the intense collision about to occur seems to foreshadow the same fate for this piece and the building — ultimate disappearance. They will vanish in reality, and disappear in memory.
