前言 Preface:

The concept of ‘Internal Time - Consciousness’ established by Husserl based on phenomenology shows us a creative guide - ‘Human consciousness is the origin of time’. Our consciousness has the intuitive ability to grasp objects, or to the body. Between experiencing the fleeting breath of natural time outside, or leaving lasting traces of emotional memory within the body, creation is an ongoing and most typical act of dissolving the distinction between subjectivity and objectivity.

We invite seven artists with such common characteristics to transform and abilities. They shatter the sense of certainty about the meaning of time, break away from the linear relationship between the past and the future, and use strong paths such as repetition, purification, and choice between every breath of life. This part of time is deliberately suspended and constructed as countless sections of memory on the picture. In the process of suspension, the symbolism and narrative of the image are weakened, and what is revealed is the restoration of oneself and the firmness of will. The personal epic of time thus has width and flows eternally.

Suspension is an active detachment, which means consciously entering a time period without the past or future. In this state, a series of emotional memories, physical experiences, and conscious grasp are all purified into the act of creation. If one stays in it all the time, any object will be diluted, leaving only passion and freedom to burn. When facing such works, we seem to be guided into such a suspenseful moment, embarking on a contemplative journey about the essence of the soul.
