UNMASK是2001年成立于北京的艺术创作小组，由中央美术学院雕塑专业的三个年轻人创立，自毕业后就开始了团体式的新艺术探索。尽管外界对这个艺术团体的名字UNMASK有着不少高深的揣测，而实际上命名原因居然简单得出奇：只是三人跑去翻字典根据发音的顺口而得来。
UNMASK is an art creation group founded in Beijing in 2001 by three young people majoring in sculpture from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. They began to explore new art as a group after graduation. Although there are many profound speculations about the name of this art group, the reason for the name is surprisingly simple: the three people just looked it up in the dictionary and came up with it based on the pronunciation.
